Zorra's final round of the 2014 Skyhoundz World Disc Dog Championships Open Division. She was the final dog in the final round of the Finals and performed a DROPLESS routine. Scores of "10" in every category gave her a final score of 40 in this round and set a new world record of 98 points!

Wham-O Fastbacks are used in all of these videos. I do throw Hyperflite CS discs for distance though.... Peace.
I'm on my 8th year of ultimate frisbee and I would like to say that your throws are beautiful. The sidearm stork is incredible. The wrist flip under the leg, wow.. Clean foot brush. Tell me more about the dream shot! I've heard of it as a mythical throw from a friend named Jose!

Looks nice but recently in England they removed the frisbee in dog competitions as many of them get seriously hurt if jumping goes wrong. Playing naturally is ok but not forcing them to be acrobatic animals.
Interesting and some what sad that people that do not know what they are doing, or don't take the time to properly get trained on how to play with their dogs safely, would cause such an amazing sport to be subjected to curtailing it as a sport. I have been playing disc dog sports for over 29 years and have NEVER lost a dog to injury. It is also so sad for all the dogs that are going to not ever have the opportunity to have so much fun.... This is not helpful at all. You need to pull a Greg Norman to be a great golfer and hit 1000 golf balls a day............ so throw a Frisbee 1000 times and you'll figure it out. Everyone has a different technique, and did he forget to mention how important it is for the Frisbee to land in the dogs mouth. I bet this guy has a book too haha
Everyone does have a different technique; but you still need to understand the basics; grip, stance, release and intangibles (aim, swing, weight transfer, etc..). Throwing a disc 1,000 times incorrectly does not make you a good/great disc thrower. I apologize that you wasted your time watching this video and did not learn anything.... Peace.

Hello Lawrence, Great video! I learned some good tips! I have an incredible border collie who has a passion for frisbee. I have been throwing a frisbee almost daily for at least 30 minutes each day. Because of all of the 'snapping' of my wrist when I throw it, the outside of my wrist has a small cyst on the tendon and its quite painful. I'm keeping it at rest for now, but would you have any idea of what I could do differently to avoid this once it's healed? My dog, and in turn, frisbee has become quite the passion for me. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!!
Shelly D Shelly, not sure what has occurred, but would definitely recommend you have it looked at by a medical professional. Couple of things you might do differently once you come back; 1. mix in some other throws so as to not put so much continuous pressure/motion on your wrist; 2. practice with your left hand, as this will afford you the time and experience to be able to throw with both hands in your later developed routine; 3. shorten your throwing periods, especially if you are doing the full 30 minutes with your dog. Keep your training sessions short in duration (5-10 minutes at the most) but do those session three to four times a day. This will give you and your canine companion a much need rest and keep both of you interested and fresh each time you do go out practice. Good luck and hope to see you at a competition some day!! We use two types of the discs: Discovering the World Fastbacks (Wham-O) (dtworld.com) and Hero Discs (HerodiscUSA.com)
